ESG Module 3 - Social Sustainability and Employee Wellbeing

The ESG programme consists of 5 modules and is designed to give users an introduction to ESG (Environmental Social and Governance), a closer look into each aspect of ESG and how ESG can and should be integrated into departmental strategy. This set of modules is geared towards UK civil service employees although the programme would suit anyone with an interest in ESG in the corporate landscape. There is no doubt that the importance of ESG considerations will continue to grow with external pressures from climate change and the need to become more sustainable. Completing this module will give users an excellent foundation in understanding corporate ESG considerations.

This module focuses on the S aspect of ESG. We will demonstrate how employee wellbeing and diversity is important for the workplace, including fostering DEI. This module will also look at the benefits and impacts of company community engagement and how social impact can be meaured and reported. Questions and interactive activites support the learning throughout the module. Note - it can be completed standalone or as Module 3 of the ESG in the Civil Service programme.

  • Understand what climate change is
  • Know what the global impacts of climate change are
  • Recognise how humans are contributing carbon and accelerating climate change
  • Have an understanding of the role of the UN in shaping international climate policies and strategies

This set of modules are aimed at anyone, employee or company, who has an interest in expanding their climate change knowledge.
